For me living in Kentucky, is an awaking experience when football season comes up. This year its even more fun. In the state of Kentucky since we don't have a pro football team everyone you see is a Titan fan (Which I am myself now converted. I live 30 miles from Nashville.) In North Kentucky you see an insane amount of Bengals fans due to Cincinnati being right across the river, well probably not anymore I think I would be embarrassed to wear something out in public. As a football fan this season is great for me my Titans are 6-0. My northern Kentucky friends, I have told them every time I see them "I am so sorry for your luck this season. Chin up maybe next year they will make the ROSE BOWL Muhahaha!" Needless to say my list of surprises starts with my Tennessee Titans.
Surprises
TT RB's- With Fantasy, every time White or Johnson
touch the ball there is a chance that you gain at least one point. The
Fast back Johnson gets a lot of carries and if he breaks loose you can
pretty much bet no one is going to catch him. White is pretty much the
goal line back, however if Johnson does his job correctly there
shouldn't be anything and goal.
TT Defense- Always consistent, a
plethora of sacks, and every team scores low against them. You could
not ask for a better defense when the fantasy game is close.
Steve Slaton - I can't brag enough on Slaton, not only is he a "LT like" back but he is one heck of a pass catcher as well. This week another pretty good week for Slaton, 17 for 80 with 1 TD, and even though Ahman Green shares the workload, Slaton is still the featured back and he is a monster.
The Patriots- Where the heck did this come from Cassel has 3 TD passes and on top of that 2 of them to Randy Moss, I watched this game and to me it looked like pitch and catch the whole game Denver's run defense is pitiful, but with Champ Bailey their secondary is usually pretty good. Without Bailey there it looks like a lost cause with the Denver D. We could see something favoring the Lions and the Chiefs and that can't be good.
Vikings vs Bears- You know I thought this would be the lowest scoring game this week. I was sold on the fact that both the bears and the vikes defenses were two powerhouses. This game favored the Bengals vs Browns last year. It was a score fest everyone on the Vikings got involved, even Chester Taylor (Who's that guy.) Frerotte still isn't the best QB in the league, he turned the ball over more than they scored. Still he has a salvageable WR and TE to throw to and both looked good. "All Day" changed his fate, I mean the guy was single digit FP for 4 weeks, and as a #2 in the draft he needed to. The number 1 in the draft needs to as well, but we will talk about him later. (see disappointments)
Steven Jackson- knew it was going to happen eventually, and wow did it ever. Jackson blew up this week and against a run defense that is usually decent. The cowboys are starting to look like the Colts. Jackson 25 for 160 and 3 TD's and the cowboys never knew what hit them, one of the most talented offenses in the league and they got beat 34 to 14 I would yell at them too.
Disappointments
Well this list is becoming repetitive, I am expected to insert here KC defense, Cincinnati, Indy offense, and Brett Favre. I am sure there are many more. However I am going to go against the grain this week.
Ladanian Tomlinson- Maybe this one is quite easy, Look at Darren Sproles stats and then look at LT's, Don't feel bad either he shapes up or I have wasted my first round pick this year too in like 6 leagues.
Jay Cutler - Hopefully it is not a regular occurrence but Denver offense looked like "a pile" this week (best word I could think of without cursing them.) 2 int's 3 fumbles it was horrid and their defense is not going to save them, so that offense has to work.
San Fran O Line- Ok ok so they played the giants, but good gawd what a front line. These guys like I said last week can't hold back a gust of wind. Frank Gore 11-11 hmm, if he hadn't caught 3 passes for 50 yards he would have been 1 FP, Osullivan got sacked 6 times, lost 4 fumbles, threw 2 interceptions. That is a good QB I wonder what would happen if say Gus Frerotte were in San Fransisco. I would hate to see those games.
Seattle- Touchy subject I know, but did you see how many yards Seneca Wallace threw for. I haven't seen a number like that from a QB that played all game in nearly 7 years. It cannot be any worse for Bobby Engram.
Kansas City- I said I wouldn't mention them but the force is to strong for me to fight. Now Kansas City's best player says he wants traded. Tony Gonzo, wants a trade, thats an all time low. Gonzo why didn't you say something like 5 years ago I mean they didn't progressively get better they progressively got worse. When Gonzo wants a trade the whole organization has gone to hell. Who can blame the guy if I were on a mining cart headed for the lake of fire I think I would want to get off too.
So another week is in the books, I just want to leave my readers with some W2W4 for this week, Titans at Colts, watch my rbs run all over Indy. Watch the situation in Tampa Bay, Dunn looks like a pickup opportunity. Arizona see how the offense changes if Boldin comes back. Cin and Houston see who gets more carries Green or Slaton. Just some of the things I will be watching, hopefully a more in depth W2W4 in 2 weeks. Until then as always stay tuned to FFCollective.com for your fantasy news and advice.

Slaton turned in another solid effort, not great but very solid with 66 total yards & 1 TD. He is becoming a rookie monster.
