A week away from the column and I feel like it has been a month. Brett Favre finally got to lead the point standings. For him Six touchdowns is unheard of, Cotchery went off and so did Coles. Not to mention that rookie TE, I placed on my Pickups at the start of the season, Dustin Keller. No immediate impact so I dropped him. Bobby Engram and Deion Branch are headed back. The rookie running back that everyone wanted to see but never got to start finally starts and is out for the season (Mendenhall). Everyone thinks the Pats are going to "fix" their offense against the Niners. Well San Fran's defense is not that horrid but maybe they do. Your question may be with all these matchups who do I start? Who's speaking the truth and who is just running their Yap. Funny word for the mouth isn't it? Well I will give you some golden boys and some not so golden boys this week. Your Jets are on bye so it's pretty much affirmed Favre isn't going to throw 6 TD's this week.
Start
The Panther Running Backs- Deangelo Williams may have some reps in here but most definitely Jonathon Stewart, Kansas City is horrible versus the run and good against the pass, the panthers are going to be running all day.
Frank Gore- This one should be a easy one, the Patriots got decimated by Ronnie Brown, in week 3 and Gore is a much better rusher than Brown. Solid Start this week.
Matt Forte and All your Bears- Easy decision here, Lions are horrible, Start Orton, Start Hester, Start Forte, Start Olsen if you have him. This is going to be a high scoring game for the bears.
Roddy White - I believe Turner struggles in his matchup this week, this makes white a definite start.
Donald Driver - Remember that game I said that Driver would go off, I think this is it, this is the best matchup he gets. They are pushing to stop the run and going to stop a guy with the name Jennings, If he has a big game it is this one.
Sit
Titans vs Ravens- Stay away, if you have Lendale White you have to start him. This will be low scoring or the Defenses will have the most points.
Cincinatti- Ocho Cinqo and the crew will be decimated and Palmer might make an apperance but if he does he wont be 100% so no way will you see a big game from the Bengals.
Bobby Engram and Deion Branch - I said they were great pickups, but not to play them this week, may take some time for them to get back into the fold. I think the coaching staff will take it slow submitting them to a full game. Sit them this week.
Redskins- Not going to be pretty, May be a good idea to sit everyone Campbell, maybe Portis, Randle El, and S Moss. I think its a really horrible matchup and I don't think that Campbell can throw the ball on his back.
Jake Delhomme and Steve Smith - Looks like a bad read, We see a lot of the running backs but the chiefs are good against the pass. So If you can sit them do so.
Pickups
Matt Cassel - O ye of little faith, have you given up on him yet. I like him in the coming weeks, Coach has sat him down and talked to him during the bye week I am sure I think we see a new Matt Cassel.
Steve Slaton - He is out there in some leagues. This guy ran on the Titans, he did real well last week if you can get you hands on him do it. If your hesitant watch him run this week.
Steve Breaston - If Boldin doesn't start this week this is the guy you want. I think he will and this may be a game time decision but keep this guy close in case it all goes south.
Anthony Fasano - If he is still out there grab him, The chargers have allowed a TD pass all 4 weeks to the Tight end. definiate chance he makes an impact.
Saints D/ST- I think they hold peterson back here, this week was hard to determine matchups and a defense that might not be owned. I think they hold peterson back and if they do they have not much else to worry about.
Well thats it for week 5, I won't cry putting the saints defense on failures and I will be routing hard for Matt Cassel this week. Good luck this week, as always stay tuned to FFcollective for the latest in fantasy news and advice.

Not sure about the Carolina guys, I agree the RB's should be huge but I think KC is due for a big let down and Carolina could put 30+ on KC meaning Delhomme & Steve Smith will likely hook up at least once, if not more against a Chiefs team that is quite frankly terrible.
I also think that any league that still has Steve Slaton available is one where most of the league members aren't paying attention. The guy has had back to back RB2 outings against strong run defenses. But nonetheless its a good call, he should be owned and started in just about every league format.

Look at that page Kansas City has led in passing in all of those games not to mention they have allowed 2 passing Td's in 4 weeks. 1 to Randy Moss and 1 to Roddy White maybe you are right maybe they hook up one time or two times. There are better matchups. But there are also 2 interceptions for the KC def. Their pass defense is the best thing about them. Just my opinion.. I guess we will wait and see.
