I hit the Jackpot this week or so I thought until I flipped over the channel to the Panthers game and saw it was DeAngelo Williams and not Jonathan Stewart running up the score. I almost wept because I only started Williams in one league and that was because I thought he would get Stewart's garbage time, Vice Versa. How could I have known? Well I couldn't, and you tend to kick yourself for knowing that you had down both backs, but you also kick yourself because you know most people started the featured back as I did. So when Stewart scored his 7 fantasy points and sat on the sidelines while Williams ran amuck on the Chiefs poor pitiful defense, I felt your pain because I was right there losing with you. If I put someone in this column you can pretty much believe If I have them they are starting. If I put them in the Flex it will be there (Flex), It all boils down to, If I don't even take my own advice how can I expect you to take it. We columnists and I will say this generally
speaking, (For Myself) I don't even follow my teams anymore really, I mean I check the scores. When I am watching a football game I am routing for the players I said to sit to fail, the ones I said to start blow up and the ones I said to pickup to be great for that week. If all that is frutatious. Then I feel good, I havent felt good for awhile but this week I felt damn good. So on with the constant self loathing.
Sucesses
Deangelo Williams Jonathon Stewart- Williams "who would have known" Played a major part in victory, Stewart not so much he played second fiddle to Williams the whole game. Hopefully you had Williams.
Frank Gore- 12 carries for 54, 4 rec for 24 and 1 TD.
Matt Forte and All your Bears- This one was right all around If you look at the names I stated all of them had a big day. Even Olsen the Tight end.
Roddy White - 8 rec for 132 and a TD.
Donald Driver - So I said if there was a game he goes off this is it, and it was. 3 rec for 68 and 1 TD.
Titans vs Ravens- 13-10 need I say more?
Cincinatti- Ocho Cinqo - Houshmanadeh, I don't see anything about Chad Johnson or Ocho cinqo so if you go by that I had it right. However I predicted a bad game for Palmer and It wasn't so bad.
Bobby Engram Deion Branch - Nothing doing. Scored no TDs, good yardage and from what I saw it seems as if Engram is your best bet going forward.
Steve Slaton
- Wow I believe is the only word. Now owned in 95% or more of leagues. Hope you picked him up 2 weeks ago.
Steve Breaston -Got all the passes but none of the touchdowns, Main target in AZ with Boldin out
Failures
Redskins- Big game for Chris Cooley and a Td pass from Randle El wow. I was wrong here, the skins are shaping up to be a better team than I thought.
Jake Delhomme Steve Smith - Jake Delhomme was ok better starts at Qb this week and I dont mean the next guy on the list. Steve Smith was active in the game but no TD.
Matt Cassel - I saw a improvement in his game and he actually threw one of the most beautiful passes to Randy Moss for a touchdown that I have seen in a while. But still very inconsistent 2 int's and 1 fumble.
Anthony Fasano
- 3 receptions for 47 yards its becoming the Ronnie Brown show down there in Miami.
Saints D/ST- They stopped Peterson like I said they would, they just didn't stop much else.
