I'll jump right into it for Week 2.
Starts-
- RB Ryan Grant- Needless to say the Lions aren't going to be able to stop Grant this week. He busted through the lines of the greatest run D's in the league. How do you think he will do against one of the worst? *25 Touches 215 yards and 2 scores*
- QB Donovan McNabb - After week 1 I believe he has proved all the doubters wrong. If he stays healthy he is definitely a fantasy beast. Even without his receivers he ate up the Rams. He may face a tougher defense but I also believe his TE and Westbrook become more useful this week. *30-45 attempts 245 pass yards 2 scores*
- RB Willie Parker- The Browns looked awful in the first game of the season, Awful in that the defense let 2 different backs run all over them. Parker and Mendenhall (If he sees the light of day) will put up a big week again this week. *25-30 touches 185 rushing yards and 2-3 scores*
- RB Larry Johnson - I think the Chiefs back does good this week against a Raiders defense that doesn't stop the run so well. If Selvin Young can run for two scores even the dinosaur LJ can. *25 touches 150 rush yards 1-2 Scores*
- WR Plaxico Burress - The Eagles ate the Rams up with backup receivers. If no names can score on the Rams then any team can score on them. Burress is a strong start. *13 receptions 145 yards and 2 scores*
Sits-
- WR Chad Ocho Cinco- New name but still the same offense. The Bengals looked horrible and this week they are facing a great defense. I expect the Titans watched the shutdown of Palmer on Sunday and they are ready for him. I would not start a Bengal period, but if I did the only one I would is TJ Houshmanzadeh not Ocho Cinqo. When a guy like David Garrard the king of consistency throws more interceptions than touchdowns people start to sit up and take notice.
- RB Steven Jackson - What was wrong with the offense in St Louis it looked more like a train wreck than the powerhouse offense it was predicted to be. So this is what an offense with one of the top 10 RB's in fantasy looks like. OK give me that much money and let me run the damn ball. The Eagles D is good but they shouldn't be able to keep a top 10 running back to 41 yards. Nor a decent offense to 3 points. I am staying away from the Rams this week.
- QB Matt Schaub - Schaub did "OK" against the Steelers defense, However the Steelers don't have Ray Lewis. He threw 2 INT's against the Steelers. I expect to see more pressure from the Ravens more so than the Steelers gave out. More pressure equals more hurried throws which equals more interceptions.
- QB Jake Delhomme - No Steve Smith again this week and a Stalwart defense on the other side of the ball. Don't expect great things from the RB's this week either. When a team destroys the Colts we columnists get anxious. Delhomme is no Peyton Manning.
- RB Joseph Addai- Laugh if you must but the Vikings defense is no laughing matter. They held Grant to 97 yards. He got one breakaway run but their status as the #1 run D is still intact. I believe Addai is a better running back than Grant. Better but I don't think he makes a better dent in that defense.
Sleepers-
- QB Matt Cassel - Who on the face of the earth wouldn't want to throw to Randy Moss. Gives new
- meaning to the phrase "put me in coach I'm ready to play." Not Brady but with those
- weapons could come close.
- RB Tim Hightower - I'm telling you if this guy is still on waivers grab him, red zone
- possibility every game.
- WR Ted Ginn Jr - He is still out there and Chad Pennington isn't afraid to throw.
- TE Anthony Fasano - Really good TE looking like a decent damn offense down there in Miami.
- Tennessee D/ST- Hugely Successful defense, actually shows up on most waiver wires in public
- leagues. Wish I knew why but I am happy I don't, I add them every year.
I just put 2 dolphins spots in there. I didn't call Lendale White a donut. I also said to
Sit Joseph Addai. I think I may be coming down with something. Alas another week is in the
books. Check back next week for how horrible these predictions were. As always stay tuned
to FF-Collective, Good Luck this week
